Bulis wants to re-sign

Canucks forward Jan Bulis told the Province that he would like to re-sign in Vancouver next year if Canucks GM Dave Nonis offered him a reasonable deal.

“I would for sure want to come back with this team and would be very happy in the role I’m in,” the Czech winger said.

“If [Canucks GM] Dave Nonis offered me just a reasonable contract, I wouldn’t even think about it before signing.”

You may remember, back in January he requested a trade after he was unhappy with his playing time and was a healthy scratch. But after him and his agent had a chat with Dave Nonis, everything worked out and stayed with the team.

I personally think that it wouldn’t be a bad idea bringing back Jan Bulis just as long as he is willing to be a third-line player and part-time fourth line player. Next year, he probably won’t be playing with Markus Naslund and Bryan Smolinski. A contract that pays him at max. $1 million seems fair to him who has only 12 goals and 22 points and is as streaky as he is. By the way, if you’re wondering who are free agents at the end of the year on the Canucks, click here. For the rest of the NHL, click here. Thanks to Cory Brolund.
